Clarence River U3A Enrolment Day success

What a fantastic Enrolment Day we had last Saturday! A big “Thank You” to all the committee members, helpers and all who attended.

Beautiful, sunny weather, enthusiastic group leaders showcasing their activities and the sounds of chatting and laughter made for a very pleasant morning.

While enjoying a coffee (and Allan’s Covid friendly, individually wrapped biscuits) we were entertained by a slideshow of social activities from years gone by, such as a Melbourne Cup luncheon and a twilight cruise on the Clarence. Hopefully, we can have more social events, and this is the start of a great year and gradual return to “life as we knew it”.

Don’t be disappointed if you missed the Sign On Day as you can join at any time and there are still a few vacancies in some courses such as Book Club, Chess and several others. So, register quickly to secure your place before most groups resume in February.

The U3A is open to people 50 and over who are no longer working full-time. Why sit at home feeling lonely when you can meet others with similar interests and enjoy learning a new skill or activity in a relaxed, friendly atmosphere?
