The AGM is on Tuesday August 27 at TDCC from 10am to 12pm and all members are encouraged to attend.

Joy of Gardening’ meeting is Friday 23,when the flower of month is a poinsettia; pot plant is azalea or bonsai and floral art, an arrangement of driftwood and foliage. Please bring any surplus bromeliads to TDCC for community centre garden.

There are still seats on the coach to Woolgoolga on Saturday 24. The coach is confirmed and the cost is $20. Contact Ros for payment and information on where you’ll get on. Woombah people might be better parking in Coles and getting on at the RTA stop opposite Centrelink. Please bring a scarf or hat to cover your head and wear shoes you can easily remove in the Sikh temple. We can have a vegetarian meal there after 1pm if you like. It is the custom to offer guests a meal.

The Twilight Time cruise on September 26 includes light entertainment with ‘Full Circle’ and hot and cold canapés. Cost: members $25, guests $35. Payment by September 19. Drinks will be available for purchase on board. For more information contact Belinda.

Join ‘Croquet’ at Yamba Sports Field next to Raymond Laurie Centre, on Tuesday or Friday at 8.30am. All equipment is provided, cost $5. Call Ros or just turn up.

A new ‘Chess’ group suitable for beginners as well as experienced players is to begin at The Roundhouse, Palm Lake Resort on Thursday mornings 9-12. This is an opportunity to learn and enjoy playing the game of chess. For further information contact group leader Leo Wood via tocru3a@gmail.com ; you must be a CRU3A member.

There are  places are still available in ‘Talking Travel’ held 4.30 -6.30pm on the 2nd Monday of the month in Yamba, and the next topic is insurance, documents and the member presentation will be house exchanges.
