Last Wednesday’s Fitted Golf (Pro Shop) ladies’ summer competition had 40 participants.
With two divisions, the A Grade winner was Lyn Rowland (38pts c/b) who scraped in ahead of Jenny Dewar also on 38pts.
The perfect playing conditions obviously suited Joy Williams who came home with a fabulous score of 42pts to win B Grade. Judy Palich (36pts c/b) was B Grade’s next best as r/up.
The NTP results: 3rd – Jo Simmons; 12th – Lyn Rowland and 17th (2nd shot) – Jennifer Fagan (in the hole). The Ball rundown went to 34 pts c/b: Sue Scott, Fay Gimenez, Lynne Eke, Jane Anderson, Sue Wilson, Shellee Clare, Lyn Bartley, Susan Boyce, Jen O’Neill and Jo King.
Friday’s competition had 42 participants and the perfect playing conditions were reflected in the solid scores posted by many of the ladies. Other than our ‘regulars’, we were pleased to welcome Kim Hobbs who was visiting from Murwillumbah. Congratulations go to Jenny Dewar who has found form with great results over two consecutive rounds.
Jenny won A Grade (39pts) beating Janelle Carpenter (35pts c/b). The B Grade winner was Irene Williams (39pts) and the r/up was Barbara Roberts (35pts c/b).
The NTP were won by: Glen Czarnota (3rd); Kim Hobbs (12th) and Jennifer Fagan (17th – 2nd shot). Balls were awarded to 34 pts: Lynne Eke, Julie Vernol, Jen O’Neill, Kathy Parker, Sandra Wallace, Jo Simmons, Lynne Donsworth, Jeanne Jensen, Leigh Robertson and Jane Madden.
It was a grey, drizzly day last Saturday morning as nine ladies played Single Stableford. A bit of rain didn’t dampen Kathy Parker’s good form though and she won with 39pts, with 86 gross. Tiffany Lee followed up after her great games at Bonville, with 34pts and Gwynne Thomas won the NTP.
Kitchen to Table Christmas wrapping started on Monday with 25 ladies kindly volunteering their time to assist with this fabulous fundraising opportunity. For a gold coin donation per item, our ladies will be wrapping gifts each day until Christmas Eve. To everyone involved, many thanks!
