Yamba Work and Safety Course
The North Coast Community College are offering a Certificate IV course in Work Health and Safety at their Yamba branch.
This qualification is suitable for people working in a Work Health and Safety (WHS) role who work to provide leadership and guidance to others and have some limited responsibility for the output of others.
The qualification reflects the role of workers who apply a broad knowledge base and well developed skills in a wide variety of contexts and may include WHS coordinators, advisors and facilitators.
Participants in this course will learn legal compliance, hazards risks and controls, management systems, incident response, workers’ compensation, emergency preparation and more.
No licensing, legislative, regulatory or certification requirements apply to this qualification at the time of publication.

There are no entry requirements for this qualification. Credit (or recognition) for units may be granted based on previous learning, work or life experience.
Course Information
The course is offered via flexible delivery (10 Fridays).
Students have six months to complete from the commencement date.
