Changed traffic conditions on local roads connecting to Pacific Highway at Mororo, Woombah and Chatsworth Island

Motorists are advised of changed traffic conditions on local roads connecting to the Pacific Highway at Mororo, Woombah and Chatsworth Island.

From last night (Wednesday 17 June), the old Mororo Bridge will reopen to local traffic with traffic lights at both ends. Access to the highway from Carolls Lane at Chatsworth Island will be temporarily closed for about eight weeks to allow work on the future southbound carriageway to continue. Access to the highway will be via the old Mororo Bridge or Chatsworth Road south.

Motorists are advised there will also be some changes to local bus stop pick up and drop off locations.

The bus-stop north of the old Mororo Bridge that was temporarily relocated to Woombah Woods Caravan Park will be reinstated to its original location.

The school bus stop at Banana Road has been relocated to Woombah Woods Caravan Park bus stop on Iluka Road.

The 386 service and school bus route will again access Chatsworth Road north via the old Mororo Bridge.

Reduced speed limits will be in place and motorists are advised to drive to the conditions and follow the directions of signs and traffic control.

Transport for NSW thanks motorists for their patience during this time.
