Breast Cancer survivor Helen Tucker and Curves Grafton to host Girls’ Night In… Pink Pamper Party for women’s cancers

Feel like pampering yourself? Curves Grafton is holding a Girls’ Night In Pink Pamper Party on Saturday October 17 at Curves Grafton, 170 North Street between 10am and 1pm as a fundraiser to help beat women’s cancers. Pink party host, Helen Tucker warmly invites all women to come along and join in the fun and you don’t need to be a member of the gym to come along. Perhaps you are in need of a massage, a facial, manicure or pedicure? What about aromatherapy or inspirational jewellery? “You’ll be enthralled by the music of Kim, much-loved local singer/guitarist, yummy finger food and many other activities to promote being kind to yourself, all while raising much-needed funds,” said Helen. Money raised from every Cancer Council’s Girls’ Night In helps fund world-class research into women’s cancers, cancer prevention programs and support services to help those affected by women’s cancers during stage of their journey. Curves Grafton was motivated to hold this event again this year because several members have recently been deeply affected by women’s cancers. “The diagnosis of breast cancer was truly confronting for me at first but the practical and emotional support provided by the Cancer Council helped make my cancer journey far less stressful,” said Helen. “I simply want to say ‘thank you’ and raise funds to help future cancer patients,” she said. “So, wear something pink, bring along heaps of coins and join the lovely ladies of Curves Grafton in the fight to beat women’s cancers,” said Helen.
