Biggest Morning Tea at Copmanhurst

On May 31, the good folk of Copmanhurst rallied again, for another very successful Biggest Morning Tea, to raise funds for the Cancer Council. This year $2,917.85 was the sensational amount, bringing the total for the 6 years it has been run by the ladies at Copmanhurst, to $14,658.05. As with previous years, there were a lot of wonderful raffle prizes donated by Copmanhurst locals and Grafton businesses. Those businesses were approached by a couple of hardy souls who do this every year. The morning tea was “very tasty”, with lots for everyone, and the coffee and tea delightful. The “usual crew” had been very busy cooking, as well as making preserves, jams, pickles and handicrafts to sell. Congratulations to all of the raffle winners, as well as the “best” apron choices. The Rest Point Family Hotel at Copmanhurst very generously provided the venue, yet again; big thanks to Marcus. The organisers would especially like to thank everyone who came and contributed on the day for this so worthy a cause. Julie Miller
