Backing small regional businesses

The Federal Government has committed more than $4.7 million to provide businesses with free and confidential financial counselling.

Federal Member for Page Kevin Hogan said the Rural Financial Counselling Service (RFCS) supports hundreds of small businesses.

“I encourage any business that requires assistance to contact our local service by calling 6662 5055,” Mr Hogan said.

“This announcement is another step forward in economic recovery from this pandemic.”

“This is crucial support for our community, and I know how valuable it will be to local small businesses.”

“It will help eligible businesses access the immediate advice and assistance they need to keep afloat and navigate the road to recovery.”

“This funding is in addition to the $7 million already provided to these services during the drought.”

The funding is part of the Government’s $1 billion Relief and Recovery Fund, which is delivering targeted assistance to regions, communities and industry sectors that have been affected by COVID-19.
