Community members who live with dementia and their carers are invited to join an engaging interactive tour of art on display at the Grafton Regional Gallery. The program commenced on Tuesday of this week, but will continue on a monthly basis throughout the coming year. The Arts in Mind program aims to connect participants through shared intellectual activity surrounding memory, personal insights and art while enjoying morning tea at ‘Rosearia’, the gallery’s café. The Dementia Outreach Program is in partnership with Café Connections, North Coast Dementia Outreach Service, Clarence Valley Council and Cranes. The monthly program operates from 10am-11:30am. In 2016 Arts in Mind program will include a bimonthly creative art workshops in the gallery studio. The program and its associated workshops are presented by artist Tracey Pateman and arts worker Libby Shearer.
