The Maclean Rotary club saw record numbers attend the popular book sale which was held on Friday and Saturday at the Maclean Bowling Club. Rotary spokesman Alan Weston said that the event was very successful. “It’s one of the best (book sales) we’ve had,” said Mr Weston. “We had an excellent crowd on both days with sales on Saturday close to doubling last year’s event.” Visitors from as far away as Inverell, Sydney and Brisbane attended the book sale.
