A ‘Feast In The Field’

Ed, We want to take this opportunity to publicly thank our eight local and four guest chefs and their entourage, 55 volunteers, 25 businesses and our 170 tickets holders who attended the hugely successful 2nd annual Plunge Festival signature food event ‘Feast In The Field’ last weekend. When we set the ticket price at $150 per head this year we weren’t sure how it would be received but our fears were unfounded as the tickets sold out a month before the event which gave the organising team such a buzz. ‘Feast In The Field’ receives no government funding preferring instead to adopt a sustainable business model working to ensure the long term future of this event. We are proud farmers who take great pride in being able to showcase what the Clarence Valley region can and does already grow and produce. We are also just as excited to share this same passion with our local chefs who have the opportunity to then create amazing taste sensations using the best possible local seasonal produce. Combining those two elements gives paying guests a true taste of the Clarence and it is this that motivates us to do what we do and show case what we have, we want to share it. Our local food event is not only about showcasing our extraordinary valley produce it’s also about giving our local chefs a challenge and the opportunity to showcase their special talents and to think outside the box to create something special for our unique event.
