On Saturday March 12, Lions Stella Jackson, Ian and Joy Lauder, travelled to Coffs Harbour to attend the Lions Youth of the Year regional finals and support our Club winner, Samantha Willis. Samantha’s parents, Geoff and Caroline, accompanied her to Coffs Harbour and must be very proud of their young daughter. Samantha spoke very well and her prepared speech was excellent. Of course, there can only be one overall winner and that went to Brenton Knight a Coffs Harbour student who now goes onto Tamworth to compete in the district finals. The Public Speaking award went to Laura Johnson representing Grafton Lions. All students spoke very well and even though they couldn’t all win, they are all winners in our eyes and just shows what wonderful young people we have to go forward in our communities. Joy Lauder
