Yamba Vet’s held a single Stapleford medley in conjunction with the second round of the Championships on Monday August 24.

Angela Walpole who only started playing with the Vet’s this year (she just became old enough) blitzed the field with a robust 43 points. 

Peter White, forgot all about his health worries and came in second with 38 points. The prize money was for the first five placings and included Danny Quinn 37, Pete Russo 36 and David Barnsley 35.

NTPs: (0-19 handicap) 9th hole John Daley; 12th hole Doug Luckie (20+ handicap) 3rd hole John Ralph; 9th hole Neil Drummond; 12th hole Angela Walpole.   

The Ball Rundown went to 34 points and included Terri Collingburn, Peter Barbour, Harold Roberts, Val Pate and Alek Miltiadou. 

The Vet’s Championship consisted of two rounds and the men’s winner was Alek Miltiadou with 71 points followed by Alex Podbereski with 69 points.

The gross winner was Terry Winser.

The ladies winner was Robyn Causley with 65 points.
