On Monday November 30 Yamba Veterans played a Single Stableford from the white tees after originally being scheduled for a 2BB best ball. Weather conditions were ideal once again and we had a field of 39 men and 13 ladies. We had visitors from South West Rocks and Commercial Resort. The men’s nett winner with a fine score of 41 points was Alex Miltiadou and nett r/up Barry Latham also with a good score of 39 points. Ball rundown: Bill Grainger 38, Des Hall 37, Harold Roberts 36, Doug Luckie 35, Erik Pedder 34, John Ralph 34, Peter Ross 34, Ken Hall 33, David Barnsley 33, Mike Thurbon 33, Peter Cavanagh and Col Cromack both with 32. Men’s nearest the pins on the 3rd was John Ralph with 319cms and on the 12th Greg Starr with 310cms. The ladies nett winner was Lee Daley with 35 points with nett runner-up being Jeanette Shore 33. Ball rundown Maiva Burnham 32, Dorothy Latham 31, Dulcie Nurse and Lucy Thompson 28, Isabel Ayscough 27. Ladies nearest the pins were on the 9th second shot 0-30 Lee Daley, second shot 31-45 Maiva Burnham and on the 17th second shot 0-30 Lee Daley and second shot 31-45 Glynis Hall.
