Yamba SLSC proficiency tests this weekend

Proficiency tests will be conducted on Sunday 6th September. This is compulsory for all patrolling members, competitors and water safety personnel. Please report to assessors in the upstairs of the clubhouse at 8.30am for a 9am start. Volunteer patrols at Main Beach start on Saturday 19th September at 9am. Yamba Nippers is gearing up for another exciting season on Yamba’s Main Beach. They will be holding 3 sign on and information days in September at the Clubhouse on Sunday 13th 10am-11am, Sunday 20th 10am-11am and Sunday 27th 10am-11pm. Children must be 5 years of age before they can join as a nipper. All new registrations must show a birth certificate before registration can be finalised. For more information please contact Yamba Nippers Coordinator, Danielle Connolly at yambanippers@gmail.com Congratulations to Tim Berry, Chris Moran, Kerri Wunderlich, Helen Morris, Sean Leonard, Jack Brighton, Jack Earle, Lyn Brighton, Belinda Bock, Rory Frazer, Natashya Earle and Rhys Comerford who successfully completed their Advanced Resuscitation Techniques Certificate on Sunday. A Bronze Medallion course and Surf Rescue Certificate course will commence on Sunday 11th October. Please enrol by 2nd October. Courses are free to all club members. Board training has commenced on Saturday mornings at 8am for seniors with Coach Joe Dougherty and Sunday mornings at 9am for experienced nippers under Coach Todd Ives. Yamba SLSC meat raffles are on every Saturday evening at the Yamba Golf and Country Club. Trish & Kerry Pidcock and Nicole & Greg Don will be selling tickets from 5.30pm with the draw starting at 6.30pm. With 33 fantastic meat trays to be won, go along and try your luck!
