Sunshine welcomed the Yamba Seniors after a month of ordinary weather, it was so nice to play without rain gear. The Stableford round on Monday 7th September, included visitors from Foster Tuncurry and Mt Martha. We were delighted with the return of our Captain, Daph from the canals of Europe. The men’s winner was Mike Thurbon with 40 points after a countback from Greg Starr also on 40 points. The Ball Rundown went to 33 points and included Doug Luckie, Dave Atkinson, Ken Hall, Dazza Horsey, John Ralph, Terry Betts, Alex Podbereski, Peter Cavanagh, Richard Parker, Ron Bines and Harold Roberts. NTPs: 12th Hole Ken Hall. 3rd Hole Harold Roberts. The ladies winner was Glenys Meredith on 36 points. The runner up was Janine Zietsch on 36 points. The Ball Rundown went to 30 points and included Isabel Ayscough, Toinette Elliott, Daph Hinshaw, Virginia Moore, Marie Leonard and Janice Jeanes.
