Yamba monthly medal winners

The first monthly medal round for 2024 attracted a field of 44 last Wednesday and, for the most part, conditions were hot and steamy but thankfully, the mozzies stayed away.

Well done to the ladies who negotiated the MiScore app, entering putts as well as their scores.

Results

Wednesday’s medal winners were:

A Grade – Glen Czarnota; B Grade – Lisa Marsh and C Grade – Colleen Bamback.

In the daily event, Glen Czarnota was the nett winner (73) while Fiona Smart was the nett r/up and gross winner (73 and 84).

Kathy Parker was the A Grade putting winner (29 putts).

B Grade’s nett and gross winner was Lisa Marsh (72 c/b and 98) and Jill L Brown (72) was nett r/up. Kim Lipscombe (29 putts) was B Grade’s best putter.

Colleen Bamback (77) won C Grade nett, and Jo Foley won gross and the putting (112 and 32 putts). Julie Vernol was the nett r/up (78). Overall best putter on the day was Kathy Parker (29 putts c/b).

Our NTP sponsors and winners were – Sassafras 3rd – Lynne M White; Yamba Florist, Debbie May 3rd (2nd) – Kathy Lollback; Seafire Restaurant Voucher 9th (2nd shot) – Fiona Smart; Yamba Fair Butchery 10th – Carol MacPherson; Leonie May Millinery 10th (2nd) – Lynne Eke; The Shoe Boutique 12th – Jane Madden; Clovelly Fashions, Maclean 17th – Fiona Smart and The Wobbly Chook 17th (2nd) – Joan Berry. Balls (excluding winners) were awarded to 79 c/b.
Wednesday’s nine-hole competition winner, in a field of 11 ladies, was Shannon Stokes with a fabulous score of 21pts. Tina-Louise Downes was the NTP winner and runner up.
Heavy overnight and morning rainfall brought about the cancellation of last Friday’s round and while rain loomed on Saturday, it soon cleared, and the nine ladies who participated played in steamy conditions under sunny skies. Kathy Parker won the day (32pts) and the SeaFire voucher with her NTP shot on the 12th.
Congratulations to last week’s winners.

Notes

We are thrilled to announce a new NTP sponsor for 2024. Clarence Valley Chiropractic will be sponsoring our 9th hole (2nd shot) each Friday. Many thanks on behalf of the Yamba ladies.

This week’s rounds are both Single Stableford. Best wishes go to the ladies who are representing Yamba at the Maclean Hospital Auxiliary Charity Day to be held at Iluka Golf Course next Monday. There will be a shotgun start at 8.30am.
