Yamba Evening VIEW farewell to Pat

Last Friday a group of members travelled to Chatsworth Island for a social morning tea at the Chatsworth Island Store.

It was a good opportunity to see a little of our beautiful countryside and support a local business.

We had a great morning and as always enjoyed each other’s company along with good coffee and cake, not to mention the great hospitality we received from Mel, Michael, and Sue.

A big thank you to Janette Angelo and Pat Waghorn our program officers for planning this social event.

Janette passed on some sad news and announced that her fellow program officer Pat was heading south next week and moving to the Southern Highlands of NSW to be closer to her family.

Whilst we were happy for her, we are sad to be losing this beautiful lady from our committee and club.

Pat has been a member of Yamba Evening VIEW club for the past twelve years. We are losing Pat from Yamba but Pat plans on continuing her volunteer work in a VIEW club there to continue her support of disadvantaged Australian children through The Smith Family’s ‘Learning for Life Program’.

Goodbyes are not forever. Goodbyes are not the end. They simply mean we will miss you, until we meet again.

Good luck and best wishes Pat we are certainly going to miss you.
