Our June meeting is to be held at our usual venue, Yamba Shores Tavern, 6pm for a 7pm start on Monday June 3.

Please contact Genie Drummond on 0415 312725 or genie.drummond@gmail.com with your acceptance or apology no later than Wednesday May 29.

Our guest speaker for this month is artist, Liz Slater, her work, inspired by nature is amazing.

We can look forward to hearing her personal story of how she uses painting to escape from debilitating chronic pain, if you have not seen any of her work you are in for a treat.

Our social mid meeting get together was held at The Boardroom and was thoroughly enjoyed by those who attended, the cocktails and the friendship was a great way to spend a couple of late afternoon hours.

Welcome to Jan Angelo and Maureen Wellard, they were presented with members badges by our hard working Zone Councillor, Elizabeth Birch at our May meeting.

Anyone new to Yamba or surrounds? You are most welcome to join us for a relaxed dinner, a raffle, fabulous guest speakers and new friendships.

The best feeling from the night is that you have contributed toward helping a young person to attend school, something most of us take for granted.

The Smith Family ‘Learning for Life Program’ and our Yamba Evening VIEW Club are at present sponsoring six students.

We are truly making a difference in young people’s lives.

If you would like to come along just call Genie, she will be happy to take your booking.

Don’t forget that the Tavern has a courtesy bus; ring them to book a time.

Looks as though winter has bypassed us for the moment, enjoy these lovely days, see you at the meeting.

Remember: Art washes away from the soul, the dust of everyday life.
