Yamba Day VIEW Club

Tutu’s and Tutu’s, what a sight  for a little bit of culture, or possibly not! Voted by our visitors to go on the never to be seen again list, even money was thrown into a bucket to prevent this.

Oh, what a great act our ladies performed, we thought so anyway. Many thanks to our two musicians, Skye and John, who entertained us for our birthday celebrations. Thankyou to Craig and staff for an excellent presented and highly enjoyable meal.

A visit to Ballina Manor was appreciated by all, we found time to do some retail therapy in River Street, as well as visit Summerland Antiques.

Our heartfelt thanks go to Ian for looking after our group of ladies, and to the Bowlo for use of the bus. The last time I visited the Manor it was very much in need of some TLC, and it was in a bad state of repair; well worth a visit and lunch, if other groups are looking for an outing, I can recommend the sandwiches… yummy.

Five members attended Grafton’s Jacaranda birthday celebration, pleasing to see Margaret came home with a lovely prize. We send our get well wishes to Margaret C. for a speedy recovery.

Our November 18 luncheon will be held in the Bowlo  Riverboat Room at 10am for 10.30 meeting start. This will be our nomination commencement, so ladies think about helping out.

Our guest speaker will be Bob Carnaby, a volunteer from ‘Stroke Safe’, a subject of interest to us all.

On Monday 25 we will be meeting at the Backpackers for our social lunch starting at 12 noon.

Please phone Lyn on 6646 3164 for meeting, bookings or cancellations, by 5pm on the Friday prior.

Best wishes to those ladies not feeling well.
