There were eight matches of Club Championships played last week including the finals of the Mixed Pairs. The final of the Mixed Pairs was played last Sunday morning between Rex Wiseman & Sandra Ferro against Diana & Doug Starr. After 14 ends Diana & Doug led by two shots at 12 – 10. However, after a steady shower of rain the Starr’s lost their momentum and Rex & Sandra strung five ends together to give them an unassailable lead. With the final score at 22 to 14 Rex & Sandra have won the championship. Congratulations to them and well done to Diana and Doug on making the final after having come from a near impossible position to win their semi-final. The ‘XXXX Gold’ Classic Triples on Saturday 21 this month still has room for some more teams. Great prizemoney is on offer. Attention for Terry’s travelling bowlers who are going on the weekend trip to Tenterfield and Glen Innes this weekend, be reminded the bus departs our club at 8am. Whilst on the travelling bowlers, their Christmas get together is set down for Saturday November 28 for a 9.30am start. The men bowler’s Christmas Ham and Turkey day is on Saturday December 12 for a 1pm start.
