Wayne Rae Medals Champion

Despite starting his round with a quadruple bogey in the Medal of Medals final on Saturday, Wayne Rae composed himself for the rest of the day and played solid golf to record a nett score of 70 to not only win the Medal of Medals but also the B Grade medal and monthly mug.
Paul Farlow was the runner up in B Grade with nett 71. The A Grade medal winner was Allan Weick with nett 71, 1 shot clear of Mark Andrew. Pin winners on Saturday were David McGregor, Geoff Greenwood, Christina Picton, John Bloom & Scott McNeilly won the Thistle hole. Club balls went to 78 nett. President Mark Hemmy’s eagle on the 13th earned him 7 golf balls. 3 time medal winner this year, Scott McNeilly earned himself a free lesson with our sponsor, professional Paul King after scoring an inglorious 100.
Thursday saw a huge form reversal by President Mark Hemmy, after weeks of poor scores Mark shot an even par round to record 45 Stableford points and beat Graham Edwards by 7 points. Pin winners were Mark Hemmy, Trevor Kapeen and Graham Edwards. Club balls to 33 points.
Congratulations to Rod Smith on winning the A Grade match play championship, defeating Gregor Simpson. After draining a 6m putt on the 18th green to stay in the match, Rod won on the second hole of sudden death.
