Executive committee members of Yamba community radio station TLC-FM 100.3 are “cock-a-hoop” following technical improvements at the station’s Yamba Hill facility. “Grant monies received for an equipment upgrade have given our volunteer presenters a new level of sophistication and reliability,” public officer Peter Finucan said. “Grant funds come through government coffers and the Community Broadcasting Foundation, once a need is shown to exist by TLC office bearers. “The upgrade is also the product of excellent work by the TLCFM technical team, led by Phil Schaeffer and Stu Coxell, under the watchful direction of secretary Greg Addison. “TLC is in a happy time with great equipment and happy presenters.” Mr Finucan said the station was looking forward to “participating in the forthcoming 2017 Plunge Arts and Culture initiative by featuring local singers, writers and storytellers”. He said people who are interested in being involved in community radio should contact the station on 6646 1100 or by email – info@tlcfm.com.au – for more information.
