UHA – Christmas morning tea

    On Wednesday November 18, the Grafton Branch of the United Hospital Auxiliary held a very successful Christmas morning tea. Approximately 200 guests attended and supported us in raising funds for our local hospital. A big thank you to Ron Bell for again acting as our emcee. Executive Officer of Grafton Base Hospital, Mr. Dan Madden spoke of the current and future plans for the hospital also thanking the Auxiliary for the equipment the members have provided to the hospital over the past 12 months. Mr. Kevin Hogan our local member and Mr & Mrs Jim Agnew were among the invited dignitaries in attendance, along with the enthusiastic supporters of the U.H.A. This is one of our major fund raising events of the year and a big thank you goes to the entertainers “Sparra and The Catfish”, thanks boy`s. Alba Linklater (President) would like to thank her willing members for cooking, making sandwiches and decorating of the tables etc. First prize in our major raffle was Nevo Stevens (ticket No.75928) of Coutts Crossing winner of $400 cash, with 2nd prize going to Denise Fuller (ticket No. 76753) a visitor from Ipswich collecting the large toy dog. Congratulations to the winners. Thanks must also be extended to Lisa at Summerland Credit Union and Go Girlz for assisting with ticket sales.
