GDSC Men’s and Women’s BC again hosted the annual Trenayr RFS fundraiser on Australia Day and despite limited numbers due to fire fighting and the extreme heat there were about 70 bowlers taking to the green and thankfully there was a gentle breeze to ease playing conditions.

After bowling for about two hours, we had a spider that was won by Kay Carlton.

Winners on the day were Jason Ryan, and Annette and Barry Williams with the runners up Gary Ahrens, Squizzy Taylor and Gary Harrison.

Best dressed Aussie was won by Kay Carlton.

A big thankyou to those who donated to the raffle and a huge thanks again to GDSC who provided food and vouchers for the raffle and winners. Many thanks also to Toni Shorten who rounded up the lady bowlers.

We look forward to the event again next year and thanks to Harold Gibson for his kind words. 

TNT (Tuesday Night Triples)

This competition commenced on January 30 and will run for 13 weeks. Anyone wanting to play either experienced bowlers or new bowlers are most welcome to play as we are mostly short of bowlers, phone Allan Gough on 0429 497 400 to nominate as a substitute.
