The Tweed-Yamba Challenge Trophy heads north!

The Tweed-Yamba Challenge Trophy is headed north for the first time after the Tweed Heads/Coolangatta Travelling Bowlers wrested the silverware from their Yamba counterparts following a narrow five rinks to four victory on Saturday.

A combined 54 bowlers from both alliances took to the greens to contest the trophy that has been securely under control of the Yamba bowlers since its inception several years ago. However, the Tweed Heads/Coolangatta bowlers full of determination and boosted by a few Yamba bowlers to swell their numbers (and collective ability), tasted victory for the first time and promising that it will be difficult to recapture the trophy in 2020. The northern invaders also took home the cash following the One-Bowl Singles Challenge with Tony Goode taking first prize and Frank McPhillips the runner-up reward.
