Awe-inspiring! Breath-taking! Spectacular! The accolades just keep coming for the Gulmarrad Public School’s production of “There’s No Business Like Show Business”. The hard work and months of rehearsing paid off when nerves were put aside and it was on with the show. On Wednesday 2 September residents from Mareeba Aged Care and the Whiddon Group were treated to the first matinee performance and from start to finish the audience were thrilled and enthralled by the quality of this outstanding production. There was laughter and a few tears as the children performed songs and dances from Lion King, Annie, Oliver, Alice In Wonderland, Mary Poppins, The Wizard Of Oz and The Sound of Music – this show had something for everyone. The dedication shown by the students and staff to ensure this was the best show ever was evident in the quality of the costumes and production. Everyone involved including the parents who have assisted and supported from start to finish should feel incredibly proud to be part of this wonderful production.
