Tartan Brushy RSL Day Club
Another year is ending and Tartan Brushy has a great collection of happy memories of 2015.
John Stubbs from Maclean RSL conducted our Remembrance Day service in November. Following on, Anne Gray and her U3A singers entertained us with a wonderful selection of well known songs which we all enjoyed. On another Tuesday we had some visitors from St. Francis and they had a good day. “Old and Buggered” entertained us and were very much appreciated. Our regular day with the Country Ramblers went very well and it is great to see those young men amongst this group.
Our Christmas lunch at Maclean RSL was a wonderful event beautifully organised and special thanks go to those who assisted – great teamwork. The raffles were popular and the venue and tables were brightly decorated. “Frankie & The Grey J’S sang for us and were very enjoyable. Special guests were Tom Barnsley and John Stubbs. Our coordinator and volunteers were acknowledged for all their efforts during the year.
Our final meeting will be our Club Christmas party. We have had a happy year and look forward to 2016. We wish you all a very happy and peaceful holiday season. We will resume on Tuesday, February 2.
