Tartan Brushy RSL Day Club

We are battling with low numbers of members and volunteers.

Sadly, two members have died recently, and we have remembered them.

Once again it is so good to see the willingness of people to step up to help when we need them thank you. Our kitchen ladies have to be congratulated too for all the lovely meals they provide.

We have had some good entertainment, including Grafton Ukes, The Country Ramblers and the line dancers, all of them helping to make our meetings enjoyable.

We have held two Trading Tables which have been well supported. Two ‘In House Days’ have been held, one of which was the Tartan Brushy version of the Commonwealth Games, but instead of different countries we used surrounding towns, the day was complete with flags and medals and a good team spirit.

Glad gave us information on the need for a blood bank in Grafton and members have been asked to write to the local MP.

Beekeepers are on the alert for the Varroa mite which is attacking bees and members should be on the lookout for any feral bees on their property and report them.

We are all looking forward to the warmer weather and wish our sick members a speedy recovery.

For enquiries, please contact Marja Feeney 0411 864 885 or Trish York on 6644 8165.

New members entertainers and speakers are very welcome.
