Maclean High School has been working with Desert Pea Media this week to produce a dance and song film clip featuring several of our Aboriginal students from Years 8-11. Desert Pea Media is a well- known film company who specialise in making music video. The students, Elders and community members worked through several ideas sessions in the workshops and the Elders shared their own experiences with the students of growing up and what life was like for them when they were the same age as our students. The students have been working on lyrics that depict the community and the surrounds they call home on Yaegl land. It has been a wonderful opportunity for the students, staff and community to work with the Desert Pea Media crew and we very much look forward to seeing our students on the big screen.
