Small field contests Yamba Lady Golfers’ monthly medal

Only 35 players competed in the above event on Wednesday last, resulting in only one grade overall. The winner was Julie Campbell with 73 net. Runner-up was intrepid Sue Scott 74, who also won the gross with a great score of 88. Putting was won by Jennifer Fagan with 30c/b awarding her the popular Café Marina voucher. NTPs were 3 Yamba Medical Centre Sue Scott, 3/2 Yamba Florist Jo King, 9 Yamba Pro Shop Jean Whitby, 10 Yamba Fair Butchery Lynne White, 12 The Shoe Boutique Helen Collins, 17 Clovelly Fashions Lyn Rowland and 17/2 The Block Jane Bonner. Pro balls went to 78. Lucky draws were won by Jen O’Neill The Mexican, July Palich The Friendly Grocer, Anne Schuhmacher The Corner Store, Robyn Wiblen Priceline Pharmacy, Lesley Love Civic Video, Pauline McKinnon Yamba Florist, and Helen Collins John’s Free Lesson. The raffle was won by Di Sigle. Eleven ladies play in the 9 holers’ Stableford which was won by Nancy Crozier with 14c/b. Maureen Duncan-Watt collected the NTP on 9. Friday saw 51 ladies take to the course for a single Stableford and A Grade was won by Jean Whitby 34 from Di Sigle 32. B Grade winner was Virginia Moore also 34 from Phyllis Telfer 33. NTP on 3 Tom’s Chinese Restaurant went to Carolyn Chester who also won 12 Yamba’s Fisho, 3/2 Retireinvest Meg Kulmar, 9 Peter Campbell Physiotherapy Di Sigle, 10 Kitchen to Table Lee Daley, 17 Wato’s Fish & Burgers Ann Groom and 17/2 Yamba Pharmacy to recently returned Rin Hulka.
