Round three of Queensland ski racing was held at the Big River Holiday Park Ski Lodge at Seelands over the weekend. Competitors travelled from as far away as Sydney and Bunderberg in Queensland to take part in the event. President of Ski Racing Queensland Darren Apps said that it had been two years since they last held the event at Seelands. “We’re trying to get a bit of variation into our events and it’s a top venue here,” he said. “We only have seven boats here this weekend after five pulled out at the last moment.” “We love coming here and we have a lot of connections here,” said Mr Apps. Skiers are looking forward to the next event which is the Queensland state titles which is to be held over the June long weekend next year at Corcoran Park, Grafton.
