Planning for our next display is happening now and will be very interesting. We will celebrate 80 years of the opening of our Ambulance Station on its present site on the corner of Prince and Fry streets. Suzanne Gibson is gathering information for this display during June such as photos, clothing and memorabilia. Plenty of rearranging has been going on to make more room for our exhibitions and to display objects in a better way. Two new additions to our shelves are the family histories of the Daley’s and O’Connors. Our display of Grafton Churches has been returned from the library and we will replace them with a selection of objects connected with July Racing. The original Post Office was opened at South Grafton in 1866; we would love to have photos showing that building before the present Post Office was built in 1883. If you have any photos of Skinner Street please let us know on 6642 5212 or come in and see us Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday 1 -4pm at Schaeffer House.
