On Thursday the 3rd of September we will be hosting the Northern Rivers Basketball Challenge for high schools around the area. Monday: Coming up this term we will be running mixed volleyball which will start at 6pm. This is an excellent, social sport to play with family and friends. If anyone is interested call us on 6646 8822. Tuesday: Tuesday morning the seniors had their usual table tennis matches. There were some great games and some outstanding shots made. Tuesday night the seniors had some nail biting games with YBC Cougars taking a win to make it into the finals for next week. Lisa Brasen made some excellent shots to help seal the win. MVM Pandas came out on top after some wonderful steals from Mishika Randall. The mens comp had a strong performance from Andy Lombardo and Jackson Daley. Wednesday: Wednesday afternoon RLSC had some exceptional table tennis and badminton matches. These games were played out as singles, as well as doubles matches. Thursday: Thursday night the ladies netball had some great games. Sam’s team had a fantastic match, smashing the Panthers 31-11, with some great shots by Courtney Smith and terrific defence by Sam Daley. Breakers ran away with the win in the second game after Friday: Friday afternoon the remote car racing had a great turn out with some epic races and reached great speeds. Saturday: On Saturday the 29th the RLSC will be hosting a High School busking competition, first prize winner gets a recording package valued at $500.
