Questions unanswered

Ed,
Members of The Clarence Forum have become so disappointed with Councils apparent refusal to answer basic questions pertaining to public health and safety that a number of members have written to the Minister for Local Government with a request for a formal review of:
Council’s handling of asbestos on their Tyson Street site and Council’s previously stated intentions of checking for ‘materials’ (including asbestos) “in conjunction with earthworks” for their Super Depot.
Why the laws of NSW do not appear to have been applied to Clarence Valley Council with regard to their dumping of asbestos next to a public high school.
Council’s ongoing refusal to engage with and answer questions from The Clarence Forum, the Independent Newspaper and other individuals and groups in the Clarence Valley with regard to these matters.
John Hagger,
The Clarence Forum
