Plenty row about at local club

The Grafton Rowing Club (GRC) has been a hive of activity lately with students from St Joseph’s School in South Grafton, and students from Clarence Valley Anglican School (CVAS), recently participating in coaching sessions.

Students from South Grafton High School are also well into a coaching program with the club, and students from McAuley Catholic College are due to follow.

A ‘Come and Try Day’ hosted by the GRC at the end of October was very successful with 30 participants taking up the challenge, 13 of which have since taken out membership.

All up, GRC membership has risen from 36 to 66 with the recent addition of new rowers and return rowers.

On December 9, the club will host the Head of the Clarence Regatta with most events being conducted over 2000m.

Entries close on December 4, and rowers can register their participation online at www.rowingnsw.asn.au

On December 10, the Grafton Rowing Club 2023 Regatta will take place, and local crews are well into their training.

Entries are open until November 29, with participants invited to register their attendance at the aforementioned website.
