Grafton Senior Citizens
Grafton Senior Citizens recently held their March general meeting, with a great attendance of 80 members, 15 apologies.
Birthday wishes to those celebrating during month, and best wishes to anyone on sick list, including Glad Allen, Alma Ward, Maureen Anderson.
Welcome to following new members: Chris & Peter Hayman.
General business included: Recently sold piano has been collected, and keyboard has been placed in vacant spot.
New members are welcome to join group, and anyone over age 50 may apply.
Enquiries can be made with members at Community Centre, Duke St, any Thursday, or come along to a meeting on 2nd Tuesday of month.
Next trip, a day to Murwillumbah, including Tweed Art Gallery and Margaret Olley Art Centre, on Friday, 8 April, has been on sale a month, and still has several spare seats.
The extended tour, including Thunderbolts Way, Port Stephens, and Newcastle, 7 days from 19th August, has been on sale a few weeks, and is already fully booked, with 47. Names will be taken for a waiting list.
A day trip to Outback Spectacular on Gold Coast for a three course lunch and show, Sunday, 26 June, has also been on sale a month, and is also full, with reserves now being taken. To purchase tickets in advance, bookings will need to be finalised in early June.
Members are reminded that if a phone booking is made, payment, or a deposit, should be made in 7 days. There is also a 7 day rule for cancellations, with refunds only guaranteed if 7 days notice given.
Special Easter competition winners were: J. Alderman, R. Worrell, J. Blanchard.
Regular meeting competition winners were: V. Hooson, M. Austin, Y. Clark; H. Smith, V. Collins, A. Moran, M. Randall.
Due to bookings of rooms by other groups, following cancellations will apply: carpet bowls and Mah-jong, Wednesday, 18 May; craft and Hoi, Thursday, 7 April; Mah-jong and euchre, Friday, 8 April.
