The beautiful autumn weather continued and the course was in perfect condition for last week’s Stableford event, which saw 17 players start on the back 9. There was also a match played and one forfeited in the second last week of the first round Match Play competition. In the completed match Ann Ardin, just returned from New Zealand, won a war of attrition against Peter Jarman 2 up. In the forfeited match Richard Ardin proceeded to the next round. Only two players played in A Grade last week and both were certain of a place. Terry Wilson continued his run of good form with 19 points, leaving Erik Pedder in second place. B Grade was a little more competitive, with Keith Britton returning a splendid 22 points, beating Gary Taylor and Alek Miltiadou into second and third, both on 21. In the NTPs Erik Pedder won the Pro Shop voucher on the 12th and the Sassafras voucher on the 17th, while Gary Taylor won the Bean Scene voucher on the 12th and John Lockwood the Yamba Barber Shop haircut on the 17th. If there is anyone looking for a social nine holes of golf on a Tuesday morning, simply be at the course ready to tee off at 7.30am and we’ll ensure you are allocated a spot with us. Peter Jarman
