Last month Pacific Valley Christian School celebrated Book Week. Older students and teachers visited primary classes as mystery readers.  Mystery readers shared their favourite books with the class including those shortlisted by the Children’s Book Council of Australia. Primary students read over 200 books as part of their 100 book reading challenge. We also had a visit from local author, Bob Costa, who read his first published children’s book “Little Sower Samuel, The Seed Saver!” As a final celebration, junior and senior school students dressed as their favourite book character and paraded around the school. Thank you to parents and students for the time and effort they put into making their costumes. Our school community enjoyed a great week celebrating children’s literature.
