Northern Rivers Hottest Ticket

The Northern Rivers community is set to be given the opportunity to step back into an era of elegance, sophistication and regency glamour at the 2023 Westpac Rescue Helicopter Northern Rescue Ball.

The Rescue Ball will celebrate over 40 years of rescue helicopters in the Northern Rivers Region, with the community set to come together on Saturday 26 August, from 6.30pm to midnight, at Ballina RSL.

One of Australia’s most loved media personalities, Shelley Craft, will be the Master of Ceremonies for the evening. Guests will be treated to a night of regency style entertainment, with classical music on arrival, before dancing the night away to a live band, Groove Elements.

The evening includes a three-course meal and beverage package along with a live auction and raffle, with all proceeds to support the Westpac Rescue Helicopter Service’s Lismore Base operations.

It is anticipated to be the Northern River’s ‘hottest ticket’ and with space at the event limited, guests are encouraged to get in early.

Tickets for the evening are $190 per person or $1,800 for a table of 10 and are on sale now at rescuehelicopter.com.au/events

Northern Rivers businesses interested in supporting the event through sponsorship or prize donations are invited to contact ball@rescuehelicopter.com.au or call 1800 155 155.

About the Service:

The Westpac Rescue Helicopter Service was established in 1975 and through community support and fundraising it has become a critical service that operates four AW139 helicopters from three bases in Belmont, Tamworth and Lismore. The Service, in partnership with NSW Ambulance and NSW Health, delivers aeromedical search, rescue and inter-hospital transfers to care for communities from north of the Hawkesbury River through to the Queensland border and throughout the New England North West.

Along with the Pilot and Aircrew Officer, every prehospital emergency response mission launches with a dedicated NSW Ambulance Critical Care Paramedic, NSW Health Doctor and depending on the needs of each patient the team may include specialist nursing professionals.

Westpac Bank, the Community, Business Partners and the NSW Government through NSW Ambulance and NSW Health, provide the funds to ensure the Westpac Rescue Helicopter continues to save lives across Northern NSW.
