Nominations are open once again for the annual Maclean Rotary Club’s Tony Sheehy ‘Pride of Workmanship’ award.
The prestigious ‘Pride of Workmanship’ award was set up to acknowledge and recognise the contribution to the community and industry by the late Tony Sheehy, who was a member of the Maclean Rotary Club.
Tony Sheehy was heavily involved in the building industry in the Lower Clarence Valley and is recognised for his work ethic and the pride he took in his business as a builder and concrete block manufacturer.
The award was first presented in 1985-1986 to Ms Bambie Gravolin, who was one of the first qualified female auto electricians, to obtain her qualifications through the NSW TAFE.
Anyone can nominate (employer or employee) and nominations forms and criteria can be obtained from any member of the Maclean Rotary Club or by contacting Darrell Brown – 0408 642 696 or Leigh Barrington – 0448 843 538.
Nominations close on October 15.
