A presentation of $1000 was made recently to Grafton mum Sherlleasa (Sher) Brown who has terminal cancer, from country singer Roger Green, which he has raised through busking. Mr Green uses the money which he raises from singing to help out people from within the local community, with special needs. Ms Brown was in tears when she was presented with the envelope from Mr Green. “I was first diagnosed with Breast Cancer in 2009, she said. “I now have a huge tumour in my chest which is attached to my aorta, oesophagus and pericardium and in the soft tissue between my left rib and lung. “They cannot operate to remove the large tumour as it is attached to my aorta. “They are avoiding radiation as I have already had it before over the area where my heart is – so chemotherapy is my only option of treatment,” said Ms Brown. “I just want to thank Debbie (who organised this and wishes to remain anonymous) and Roger for all that they have done for me and my family. “It’s (the money) going to bring us much joy and financial assistance.”
