Motorists advised of essential maintenance works on Mororo Bridge

Roads and Maritime Services advises road users that essential maintenance work will be carried out on the Mororo Bridge, Pacific Highway, Mororo to improve the structural safety of the bridge. Work carried out will include the rehabilitation of a concrete pier and patch painting of the steel structures. The NSW Government has committed $300,000 in funding to support this project, which will benefit the Clarence Valley community by ensuring its roads remain safe and accessible. The work will start from 15 February and is expected to be finished by 23 February weather permitting. Working hours will be Monday to Friday 7am to 5pm and Saturdays from 8am to 1pm. To ensure the safety of road users and workers, temporary lane closures and reduced speed limits will be in place on the Pacific Highway, Garretts Lane East and Lewis Lane. Road users should follow the direction of traffic controllers, keep to the reduced speed limits and follow traffic signs and lights when displayed. Delays may be experienced due to the changed traffic conditions so motorists should plan extra travel time for their journeys. For more information visit www.rms.nsw.gov.au
