Squash – Last week we had some great five set matches. Match of the week was between Anna Snape & Joel Power. Joel coming out strong to win the first two sets easy, Anna made a great come back to win the next two & then going onto wining the match in the final few points 15-13, although Joel won on a big margin in points (68-56); Sebestain Fear defeated up & coming junior Lachlan Johnson in his first ever five set match in the top grade. Lachlan coming out strong to the win the first two, Sebestain made a great come back to win the next three 15-10; Chris Shannon d Tony Berger 15-9; Damien Rutkoski d Kerry Bennett 15-9; Stacey Anderson d Lauren Illig 15-7, although being even on points (62-62). Cricket – GIO’s Gents def Brushgrove 124-111, Baby’s Arms def Yamba 142-69, Lawrence def Maclean Motors 187-79. Volleyball – Jetsters def Keepers 2-1, Maclean Motors def Blooms 2-0 & Junior Magpies def Mixed Up 2-0. Futsal Juniors – Record number of juniors last week, it goes to show this is a fast growing sport. If there is any juniors interested in playing this great game, you should come along at 3.45pm & we will put you into a team. Seniors – Last week we saw the semi-finals being played at the centre. Jungle Juice def Wildcats 15-6; Coops def Goal Diggers 13-3; The Vipers def The Legos 14-9. Next week will be the grand final being played between Coops & Jungle Juice at 6.30. New competition starting soon, if you would like to nominate a team or as a individual you should contact the centre. Netball – Last week’s results: Bottoms Up def The Legos 24-12 in a great friendly game. Bottoms Up Renee Causley was great at shooter & Rachael Sykes was strong in defence. Amanda Walters was The Legos best, Fired Up def Who Cares 29-14. Fired Up Katie Moore was on target all night & Stacey Anderson was great in defence & all-rounder, Hannah Ryan was Who Cares best.
