Squash – Match of the week last week, was between Kane Hancock & Peter Greenland going right down to the final point of the match with Kane coming away with the win 15-14 & points being even (63-63); Daniel Butt had two five set matches last week to win both 15-11 against Dean Moran & Toby Gray; Tony Berger def Greg Graham 15-11 in Gregs first game back after 8 months; Tony McFarlane def Nick Greenland 15-10 & John Auckram def Lucas Lynch 15-8. Cricket – Last week we had the best game of indoor cricket for this competition. Brushgrove def Tradies 114-113, going right down to the last bowl the jacketpot ball. Brushgrove Jarred Potter taking 4/-4 & captain Brendan James top scoring with 25 runs & Dylan Causley 3/3 & Jacob McMahon scoring 20 runs, were Tradies best; GIO Gents def Blue Ones 142-68. GIO Gents Matt Passlow top scored with 32 runs & Jarrod Moran taking 4/-8 & 23 runs & Michael James scoring 33 runs; Home Hardware def White Ones 178-69. Best for Home Hardware was Nathan Anderson top scored for the night with 39 runs & Hayden Clark taking 4/-8 & James Dawson was White Ones best taking 4/4 & 28 runs. Futsal – Juniors – Record number of juniors showed up last week. If there is anyone interested in playing with have two groups, (5-11) 3.45-4.30 & (12-15) 4.30-5.30, can the older group be here by 4.15pm to workout teams. Seniors – Last week we had the semi finals of the senior Futsal competition, with two great games. Jungle Juice def The Legos in a very tight match in the final few minutes in a high scoring game 14-12, senior Bobcat player Josh Urndell & Chad Barber were Jungle Juices best & Thomas Billett & Sean Butt was The Legos best & The Fam def Goal Diggers 8-4. The Fam’s Mitchell Chambers had his best game of Futsal since coming up to play in the senior grade, scoring some great goals, with a big cheer squad looking on. The grand final will be played at 6.15pm tonight (Wednesday). We will be having a few games for those who are interested in playing. New competitions starting soon. Only six players per team with unlimited substitutes. Two females players to be on the field at all times. No lines means no outs so the action never stops. Bottoms Up Casey Burgess come out of defence for the night & played a great roll as shooter scoring some great goals & all rounder Tara George was Blue Skies best; Illuka def Lawrence 30-18; Fired Up def Bush Bugs 37-17.
