Squash – Some great matches of squash last week, it was hard to choice the best. Jason Harvey and Sam Cashman had another marathon five set match. Jason made a great come back after being two sets to nil down, to win the next three and the final set being 17-15 and winning on points (71-69); Stacey Anderson and Lauren Illig had a great match. Lauren starting on -2, it was always going to be a touch match, only to be defeated 17-15; Kane Hancock def Rob Hodson 15-12; Jim Bricknell def Kerry Bennett 15-10; Chris Shannon def Tony Berger 15-9; Raymond Wiblen def Peter Greenland 15-8.
New squash competition starting soon, all new players would be made most welcome.
Cricket – Last week’s results: Blue Ones def Brushgrove in a close game 104-91, going right down to the final over. Best for Blue Ones was Shane McLeay 5/-10 & James Dawson 21 runs & Jason Alcholin 26 runs & Glen Clark 2/10 where Brushgroves best. Home Hardware def Tradies 118-65. Home Hardware Nathan Anderson taking 4/-7 & 26 runs & Callumn Clark 30 runs & Tradies, Tom Littlechild 3/-11 & Kyle Roberts 29 runs. GIO Gents def White Ones 167-102. Simon McKenzie top scored with 32 runs & Luke Maloney taking 3/-3 & 23 runs, where GIO Gents best & White Ones Jordon Fischer 2/14 & 23 runs.
Futsal
Juniors – Good numbers showed up again last week. If there are any juniors wishing to play you should come along on a Wednesday afternoon. Two time slots (5-11)3.45-4.30 & (12-15) 4.30-5.30, can (12-15 ages, be there at 4.15 so I can workout teams.
Seniors – Last week’s results: S.T.E.V.Es def The Fam 11-6; Jungle Juice def Wildcats 14-7; The Legos def Goal Diggers 11-2; Uniform Shop def Mickos 15-2. Kaisha Hinchcliffe scored five goals for Uniform Shop.
Last week was the last competition game for this comp. Semis will start this week. Pointscore as follows: Jungle Juice 45, The Fam 42, Goal Diggers 37, The Legos 33, Uniform Shop 30, S.T.E.V.Es 28, Wildcats 27, Mickos 20.
Due to the State of Origin we will only be playing semi-final matches this week.
