A Stableford played from the back markers on Thursday caused no problems for Des Plunkett who managed to defeat Geoff Willis on a count back, both of whom scored a fine 41 Stableford points. Nearest the pin’s on the day went to Mark Andrew on 2, Richard Ross on 7, Doug Hudson on 11 and Mike Emanuel on 17. Club balls went to 35 points. Saturday’s event was the Australia Day Medley Stableford and was sponsored by Life Member John Gorman. New member Daley Durrant didn’t take long to hit his straps, having only been a member for one month, he shot the best score on the day with 43 points to relegate Greg Dickinson into r/up for the second week in a row with 42 points, second r/up was Andre Dietaker with 40 points and third r/up was Scott McNeilly with 39. The Ladies winner was Floss Powell with a well compiled 34 points. Club balls went to 32 points and nearest the pins went to Greg Dickinson, Daley Durrant, Stewart McDonald and Warren Smart.
