Maclean Lower Clarence Hospital Auxiliary

President Sandra welcomed members to the March meeting and welcomed Tara Chambers, who advised that the hospital is being kept well informed about the ongoing Coronavirus.  She read a letter from Dan Madden (CEO) who has strongly advised that the auxiliary suspend further meetings and fundraising events for the foreseeable future. All Trolley rounds are to cease immediately until further notice.

So the upcoming Fashion Parade, scheduled for March 27 has now been cancelled.

The new ultra sound has arrived, been installed and is now in full use. Many thanks to the members and the whole community at large who have donated and helped with this huge fundraisisng event.

The proposed reconfiguration of the hospital has been deferred at this time.

A trading table was held at the Lions Seniors Day, raising $360. The Golf Day went ahead with five teams braving the horrific weather, and raised $791. Winners on the day were Alan Syle, Julie Vernol, Denise and Bruce Ginn. The main raffle was won by Marg Dwyer, with David Miles as runner up.

President Sandra Bradbury, treasurer Rita Nutt, and secretary Trish Bowes all tendered their resignations to take effect at the July AGM.

The assistants and vices can now either nominate for these positions or resign, from the committee. Sandra informed the meeting that if a new committee isnt formed, then the auxiliary will fold, so it is hoped that members will in the mean time consider this, and come forward and be nominated. If anyone is interested please don’t hesitiate to contact Sandra on 6646 1564.

Edie Quick will also be standing down as catering officer, and Maggie Combley as publicity officer.

A new wishlist was discussed and equipment voted on to be ordered. Members will be informed when normal meetings etc can be restarted.
