On Wednesday May 18, Maclean Ladies played a 2BBB V’s Par GNSW Championship qualifier game with the winners representing our Club in a Northern Rivers playoff and the eventual winners from the Northern Rivers region go on to play in the State final at Bonville. It was a very hotly contested game with good scores from many teams. The winners Marlene Roberts and Cathy Ayres just got the win on a countback from Judy Parkes and Sandra Jenkins both teams coming in with +7. Good luck girls. Kim Moore and Sally Weeks played their matchplay game for the coveted Broach and Kim was victorious on the 19th hole. Both ladies said it was a great match and good fun so Kim is now awaiting the next challenger. On a sadder note our thoughts go to Pauline Ryan who last week lost her brother and also to Helen, Chris P, Cathy P, Chrissy P who lost a good friend this week. Today (Wed 25/5/16) the game is an 18 hole Single Stableford which is sponsored by Shelly’s Thistle Bistro at the Club. Shelly has been our caterer at the club since the end of last year and has been doing a great job. We really appreciate her coming on board to sponsor one of our days.
