Maclean Ladies Golf

Last Wednesday March 16 the Maclean Ladies played a 4 person Irish Fourball to celebrate St. Patricks Day. All the ladies got into the spirit of the day and all things green were on display. The winning team was Sheree Forsythe, Di Moore, Tina Hogg and Judy Parkes. Just for something different on the day the NTP on the 2nd hole was awarded to the second shot furtherest from the hole and this was won by Chris Picton, Mary Wiseman, Sally Weeks and Chris Powell. The ball run down went to Cathie Parker, Edith Piddington, Carol Young, Kate Hemmy and Kim Wiblen, Kim Moore, Nancy Phillips and Pauline Ryan. Everyone sends their wishes for a speedy recovery to Molly Plunkett who has injured and her ankle and will be away for some weeks. You will be missed Molly so take care and get well soon. Helen & Val have set off on great adventures in their caravans so we look forward to hearing their stories when they come back in a couple of months. Our new “Broach” competition is going well with the current holder being Sheree. I hear she has held it for a few weeks but this week is being challenged by Kim Moore so good luck to you both. In exciting news for the Club a Sunday morning mixed competition has commenced so if you would like to play just give the Club a call and they will sign you up. Today the Ladies will play an 18 hole Stroke competition which will be the final round of the Handicap Championships and the 2nd GNSW Medal and will be sponsored by Cathie Parker and Sandra Youlten.
